“Workers' compensation benefits” are compensation paid in respect of an injury, disability, or death to a worker as per the legislature of the state. In order to be eligible for workers comp benefits, the employee must prove that the injury arose out of & in the course of employment & that he is disabled as a result of that injury. These benefits include medical benefits, workers’ comp leave benefits, leave supplement, short-term disability, long-term disability and retirement plans for employees.
